We are beginning to compile the history of our division. Please look at the Historical Information Sheet on the Forms page. This is the form that was discussed at the business meeting on Friday, February 5, 2010.

SCMEA Membership ... We now have an incredible
new tool ... a way to talk to each other! All divisions
can now speak to each other about the importance of
Music Education in South Carolina!
The SCMEA has created a new General Forum
(Message Board) on the SCMEA website. We pre-registered
everyone currently on the MENC/SCMEA Membership List.
You should have received an email explaining how to
access the forum several weeks ago from our webmaster
Andrew Levin.
We have no intention to disrupt communications systems/procedures currently being used by the divisions, but we do hope that this new forum will serve our association as a method to communicate across division lines. Believe it or not, but many problems we experience as music educators have little to do with the age of our students or the type of ensemble we teach. Issues such as classroom discipline and budget problems are only some of the subjects that are of common concern.
When entering or updating your profiles please add your division to your LOCATION information. We want to make it easier for you to find people, even if we can't always remember their names. Examples:
